Dr. Deeksha Kapoor is a leading Surgical Gastroenterologist and HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) & GI Surgical Oncologist, known for combining high-end surgical precision with ethical, outcome-driven, and patient-friendly care. She completed her MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, went on to do DNB General Surgery, and later specialised through DNB Surgical Gastroenterology at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. She also completed a highly competitive HPB & GI Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (Ethicon Fellow 2023), and is console-trained in robotic surgery on the Da Vinci Xi platform.

- Visiting scholar in the Department of General Visceral Surgery and Transplantation Surgery, University of Heidelberg, Heidelberg, Germany, under the mentorship of Prof. Markus Buechler and Prof. Thilo Hackert, focusing on vascular resections in pancreatic surgery.
- Visiting scholar in the Department of Hepato-pancreatico-biliary and Transplant Surgery, Beaujon Hospital, Paris, France, under the mentorship of Prof. Alain Sauvanet and Prof. Mickael Lesurtel, with a focus on laparoscopic pancreatic surgery and vascular resections.
Research, academics & contributions
Dr. Kapoor is an active clinician-scientist, working on pancreatic surgery outcomes, sarcopenia, nutrition, biliary injuries, and GI oncology. She has served on the Medanta Institutional Review Board and is a reviewer/editorial board member for multiple international surgical journals. She is on the Research Committee of the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery.
